Mark D. Baganz, M.D. | Medical Director

Dr. Baganz is the Medical Director of Chesapeake Medical Imaging. A board certified Radiologist, Dr. Baganz completed his fellowship training in Neuroradiology at the University of Maryland in 1994. An expert subspecialist in both neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology, Dr. Baganz earned his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine and was awarded several academic honors. He served as Director of Neuroradiology, was Assistant Professor of Radiology and Neurology, and was Radiology Residency Program Co-Director from 1994-2001. Dr. Baganz maintains many professional memberships, including the American Society of Neuroradiology (Senior Member), American College of Radiology, American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology and American Society of Spine Radiology. In addition to his board certification, Dr. Baganz holds a CAQ in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Baganz has additional expertise in Cardiac CT and Virtual Colonoscopy. Having performed over 5000 Virtual Colonoscopies and Cardiac CT exams, Dr. Baganz and his team members at Chesapeake Medical Imaging are among the most experienced experts in the entire country using these exciting emerging technologies.

Joseph D. Inzinna, M.D. | Radiologist

Dr. Inzinna is an attending radiologist at Chesapeake Medical Imaging. A board certified Radiologist and expert musculoskeletal subspecialist, Dr. Inzinna is fellowship trained and was a clinical instructor in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Maryland from 2001-2002. The recipient of several academic honors, Dr. Inzinna earned his medical degree from the University of Bologna School of Medicine and Surgery in 1989. Dr. Inzinna completed his initial residency training in Internal Medicine and received board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Inzinna then completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology, and was Chief Resident in Radiology at New York Medical College from 1995-1999. Dr. Inzinna has extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and holds several professional memberships, including the American College of Radiology, American College of Physicians, and the Radiological Society of North America.

R. Anthony Lloyd, II, M.D. | Radiologist

Dr. Lloyd is an attending radiologist at Chesapeake Medical Imaging. Dr. Lloyd completed his fellowship training in Neuroradiology at the University of Maryland in 2000. An expert subspecialist in neuroradiology, Dr. Lloyd earned his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in 1990, completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology, and was Chief Resident in Radiology at Howard University Hospital from 1994-1998. Dr. Lloyd served a Fellowship in the Neurosciences at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Lloyd was Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Maryland Medical System and maintains many professional memberships, including the American Society of Neuroradiology (Senior Member), American Medical Association, and the National Medical Association. Dr. Lloyd has additional expertise in Cardiac CT and Virtual Colonoscopy. Helen E. Mrose, M.D., Ph.D. | Radiologist

Dr. Mrose is a board certified Radiologist and expert Breast Imaging subspecialist with Chesapeake Medical Imaging. Dr. Mrose earned her medical degree and Ph.D. from Yale University. She completed her residency, including a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts in 1989. Dr. Mrose was Director of Breast Imaging at the University of Maryland until joining Chesapeake Medical Imaging. Dr. Mrose previously served as the Director of Breast Imaging at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, and as Director of Breast Imaging at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. She also previously served as a staff radiologist at the National Institutes of Health, and as a staff radiologist at Mass General. She has been honored as one of Baltimore’s “Top Docs”. Dr. Mrose maintains professional memberships in the American College of Radiology, the Society of Breast Imaging, Massachusetts Medical Society, the Radiologic Society of North America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.

R. Craig Platenberg, M.D. | Radiologist

Dr. Platenberg is a board certified Radiologist and expert Neuroradiology subspecialist with Chesapeake Medical Imaging. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Dr. Platenberg earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Platenberg completed his fellowship in Neuroradiology at Tufts New England Medical Center in 1989, following a Radiology Residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1987. Dr. Platenberg served as Chief of Neuroradiology at Wilford Hall from 1992-1993. Dr Platenberg has served as Director of MRI at Georgetown University Hospital and Assistant Director of Neuroradiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. An accomplished speaker on MRI, Dr. Platenberg also maintains memberships in several societies, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology (Senior Member), and the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

Lawrence Yao, M.D. | Radiologist

Dr. Yao is a board certified Radiologist and expert Musculoskeletal subspecialist with Chesapeake Medical Imaging. Dr. Yao earned his medical degree from Brown University and completed his fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the UCLA Center for the Health Sciences in Los Angeles, CA in 1991. Until 1998, Dr. Yao served as Director of Musculoskeletal MRI at UCLA. He has held staff positions as Associate Professor of Radiology at UCLA and at Georgetown University. Until recently, Dr. Yao served as the Director of MRI at the Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to an extensive list of publications, honors and awards, Dr. Yao maintains many professional memberships including the Society for Skeletal Radiology, the International Skeletal Society, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
